These are all the cartoons I've done for TQ Zine from issue 21 way back in March 2019 up to present. There are also notes with each one. I've left the three latest cartoons off so people don't get to see them before they receive their copy of TQ, but they'll be added as time progresses.

TQ75A and TQ75B

These two issues of TQ were about fanzines, a vitally important part of any underground movement. Not wanting to pick on a single zine or genre, I decided to do a bit of research on the history of self publication. It seems radical art groups embraced the idea much earlier than you might expect, and these publications seem to qualify as what we would call zines these days.

Also I wanted a subject that could span the two issues. I decided to concentrate on the history of the ideas and movements that spawned zines for TQ75A

For TQ75B (it's a cumbersome numbering system, I know) I wanted to show how the means of production had evolved. Technology has always played a big part because a cheap, reliable, accessible means of printing is vital. It hasn't always been possible to type it up on your Apple and put out a PDF or wi-fi it to a desktop printer you know.
