I became rather enamored by the scribbly title font here because it looks free and scrawly, but it isn't something I've hand drawn myself. It's called DK Mothman and it was also used in the previous entry, the TQ47 Free Improv Society cartoon.
Klaus Dinger was the drummer in the hugely important German band Neu! After the break up of Neu! he founded La Düsseldorf and continued pursuing his individual musical vision. The style of drumming Klaus adopted became known as motorik because of its repetitive, forward moving, propulsive constancy. TQ48 was a kind of love letter to Klaus Dinger. He died in 2008.
I interviewed film maker Jacob Frössén about his documentary The Heart is a Drum (2019). It features Kim Gordon, Iggy Pop, Michael Rother and Wolfgang Flür talking about Dinger's influence on their music.
