TQ46 and TQ47 were combined together in an interesting way. Both issues were back to back in one volume, so for the first 24 pages it was TQ46. Then if you turned the zine over it was TQ47, with the two sections upside down when compared to each other. It had two separate covers and two different cartoons.
The all female band Daughters of the Desert are featured here. There is an interview with them (Esbe, Jude Cowan-Montague and Mia Kukathasan) which covers a fair bit of ground, but this cartoon is just a bit of a riff on the band name.
I got a message from Jude, who I've known online for quite a while, and I got the impression that she thought it was a bit cruel. Of course, it isn't meant to be at all and I'm sorry if it seemed that way Jude.
