TQ32 - TERRITORIAL GOBBING

Territorial Gobbing is the alter ego of Theo Gowans, a creator of frantic and kinetic noise splurge using a crowded table of objects, implements and toys. His live performances often end in the table falling over with him under it. He is also a prolific producer of cassettes.

We were still in what people refer to as Covid Times here, and Theo was collecting performances that various artists had recorded at home. He streamed them in a show called Heinous Whining. Robert Ridley-Shackleton was known as The Cardboard Prince and had perfected a very characteristic look: Long hair, a big belt and a propensity for shirtlessness.

This strip imagines how Theo may have got the inspiration to start his invaluable Heinous Whining broadcasts.
